
SERVE: Palombi's Garden Club Crew got dirty and made a stinky corner! They planted a bed of onions, built a chive mountain, and planted dill seeds.

LEAD: Palombi's Scholastic Bowl team won the conference championship! Join us in cheering them on as they prepare for the regional competition on April 24th!


LEARN: Students in 7th and 8th grade visited the Tech Campus for a career exploration field trip called Future Quest! This after-school event allowed them to participate in three sessions of their choice, including options like welding, culinary arts, media design, medical services, education, and construction design, among others!






SERVE: The Community Action group was hard at work today making blankets for an animal shelter! Way to go!



LEARN: Over the next two weeks, the 8th graders are given the opportunity to use the newest virtual reality teaching trunk from the Illinois Holocaust Museum in their social studies! They are able to "walk" with Holocaust survivors through their childhood hometowns and concentration camps as they share their stories of survival, creating an unforgettable experience!

LEAD: Palombi students engaged in great conversations with Dr. Scully, Director of Student Services, and Detective Gomez from the Lake Villa Police today for Leaders Who Brunch. LEARN: 8th grade Honors ELA worked on a hexagonal thinking group project with the memoir "Night" earlier this week! #elevateLV41




SERVE: The Family and Community Partnerships Staff Action Team organized an all-school event at Palombi for St.Baldrick's. Overall, the school raised around $4,100 for this childhood cancer research charity. Several students and staff members fundraised over several weeks and then had their heads shaved at an assembly today. Special thank you to our two local barbers for volunteering their time to help make this event such a success!

Lake Villa District 41 student leaders did a great job in the Lake Villa St. Patrick's Day Parade!

LEARN: 6th grade ELA students learned all about theme while using the "cupcake analogy"! Students participated in a "Craftivity" and matched themes to stories while using cupcake templates. Way to go!







LEAD: Our Future Leaders Student Action Team organized a school wide event at Feed My Starving Children on Friday! Thank you to all that participated in this great event and helped to package over 26,000 meals! Way to go! #elevateLV41







LEAD: Palombi students got to meet with two community members today during Leaders Who Brunch. Some students met with a corporate accountant who had a fun lemonade stand activity to help them understand accounting. The others met with an Army veteran who now has a career in nursing.



LEAD: Palombi's choirs shared their talent and passion in an amazing performance this evening! They are ready for their upcoming contest!





LEARN: Instructional ELA had a fun end to Trimester 2! They made their own creatures like they are learning about in Frankenstein.




LEAD: The LEAD Day student action team used their LEAD time to plan an afternoon of fun for the whole school that included volleyball and a variety of relay races.



LEAD: Palombi students were recognized at our Lancer Leadership Award Ceremony. These students demonstrate leadership in and out of the classroom and are amazing role models for their peers!



SERVE: Palombi's very own Garden Club was chosen by Johnny's Selected Seeds Community Program, to continue their mission in helping families, friends, and communities feed one another.
Students in Garden Club will continue this mission by learning about the seeds received, growing, harvesting and giving back to the community the foods grown!
