LEARN: 7th-grade math students created and played probability-based games this week using skills they learned regarding theoretical vs experimental probability, simple events, sample space, and making reasonable predictions.





LEARN: Students enjoyed some reading board games and worked on their projects for Titanic!





LEAD: Congratulations to Palombi's 2024-2025 National Junior Honor Society officers! They were inducted into their new positions at a ceremony this week.

We are thrilled to announce that Hooper, Martin, Thompson, and Palombi Schools reached the Leader in Me Lighthouse Status!


SERVE: Palombi's Student Lighthouse organized a successful district-wide color run over the weekend! Everyone involved had a blast!


LEAD: Palombi recognized several outstanding students for each grade level at their last Lancer Leaders ceremony of the 23-24 school year! We are truly fortunate to have such amazing leaders among us!

LEARN: 7th grade ELA worked on a graffiti wall with their new vocab from The Outsiders! Nice job!



LEAD: Palombi's Garden Club thinned the seedlings, then enjoyed a salad of pea, cabbage, spinach, and chive greens!


LEARN: Mrs. Calabrese's class tested different variables in stream tables to explore erosion and deposition. Way to go!







LEAD: The Palombi Student Lighthouse Team would like to invite everyone to the Color Run on Saturday, May 18th at 10 AM! This family walk/run event is for all District 41 students, families, and staff. Check-in will be in the bus parking lot which is where the race will begin. The run/walk will start with a color celebration. The route will be marked and there will be volunteers throughout the race to continually throw color at participants. LEAD: Today Palombi hosted its last Leaders Who Brunch for this school year! Our students had a great time exploring a diverse range of careers with our guests.




LEAD: Students in Mrs. Grosclaude's classes worked on this collaborative art piece after MAP testing! Way to go!


SERVE: Today, Palombi's Garden Club planted carrot and cabbage seeds and even found time to weed the garden!


LEAD: Shout out to the LEAD Day student action group! The students and staff leaders organized an enjoyable day for everyone! Students spent the day engaging in a variety of fun activities!



LEARN: Author Jordan Sonnenblick visited Palombi this past week, where he shared his wisdom and life experiences with our students. Known for his young adult fiction, including "Drums, Girls, & Dangerous Pie," Mr. Sonnenblick enriched our school community with his visit.




LEAD: Maker Space classes created carnival games for one of their projects. The whole school was invited to try them out! Way to go!
