Today, Mr. Feldman had the honor to take these two 5th grade leaders to an event hosted by the Illinois Principals Association. These two students got nominated for their leadership and outstanding qualities. They demonstrate what it means to be a Hooper Jaguar.

Tonight was Hooper's 1st grade music show. Not only was it the last show of the school year, it was Mrs. Welch's last show ever because she will be retiring at the end of this school year. Some Hooper student's got a surprise visit today from Elvis who is the Kingfish baseball teams mascot. These students participate in a reading contest and now get to go to a baseball game!! One lucky winner even gets to throw out the first pitch at the game.

Hooper's Mrs. Gutsmiedl's kindergartners were practicing recognizing numbers by having a number hunt in the school. They found the numbers said them and wrote them down.

Mrs. Gutsmiedl’s Hooper kindergartners are working on counting and recognizing numbers 1-20. Today they used playdough to add “pepperoni” to their pizza after reading the correct number card.
