Greetings, Lake Villa Community Consolidated School District 41 Stakeholders!

My name is Dr. Sandra Keim-Bounds.  As a member of the District 41 school community for the past twenty-six years, I am honored to be able to serve as District 41’s superintendent.

Since 1998, I have been a part of the school community and have served as District 41’s Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, Principal at William L. Thompson School, Assistant Principal at William L. Thompson School, General Education Teacher at William L. Thompson School, and Special Education Teacher at B. J. Hooper School.  Additionally, I was selected as the Illinois Principal Association 'Principal of the Year' for Lake County and received the District's Above and Beyond Award for Exemplary Performance and Service during my tenure.

Educationally, I received a Doctorate from National Louis University.  My doctoral dissertation focused on data-driven decision-making's impact on student achievement and staff collegiality.  I hold a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Northeastern Illinois University.  I received my Bachelor's Degree from Purdue University with a dual General and Special Education certificate.

I am truly vested in Lake Villa Community Consolidated District 41.  My passion is to provide your child with a memorable school experience while ensuring they are educationally prepared for their futures.

I appreciate your ongoing support.  District 41 has been planning behind the scenes, and we are eager to ELEVATE District 41 in 2024 and beyond!

Lake Villa District 41 is on the rise!

Elevate

In the fall of 2023, stakeholders developed a Portrait of a Graduate and Multi-Year Teaching and Learning Plan to ensure our students are future-ready.

  • All Four District 41 Schools Achieve Lighthouse Status.

  • The district and school MAP data exceeded expectations and national growth norms.

  • We have received additional resources, materials, and professional development with Board of Education approval.

  • Staff participation in our summer professional development series is at an all-time high.

  • And District 41 continues to focus on community engagement through district-wide leadership events.
